The quality 4yo Divine Prophet mare See You In Heaven overcame a three-wide trip to take her stakes tally to five in Saturday’s Group III Behemoth Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.
Ridden by Jake Toeroek for Richard & Chantelle Jolly, See You In Heaven wore down the blue-collar millionaire Savatoxl (Kuroshio) by one and a quarter length, with Manhatten Times (Manhattan Rain) a length back in third.
The Group II MRC Sandown Guineas winner, See You In Heaven, advances her record to five wins, three seconds, and two thirds from 12 starts with earnings of $624,905.
“Considering she is still underdone, it’s exciting to see where she goes next,” Chantelle Jolly said.
“She’s had a few foot issues, so she had a long spell. The time off allowed her feet to grow and harden up, so she has come back bigger and stronger.
“She will head to the 1400m Leon McDonald stakes here in a fortnight. We will then take her to Melbourne, where the end game is the Empire Rose Stakes, over a mile for the mares.
“They are a good bunch of owners, so they will enjoy this.”
A $27,000 purchase by Kestrel Thoroughbreds when offered by Aquis at the 2020 National Weanling Sale, See You In Heaven was consigned by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock to the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, where Richard and Chantelle Jolly purchased her for $90,000.
The 5-time stakes-winner is the best of five winners from seven to race out of the Melbourne-winning Anabaa mare Shine On Anna.
Aquis Farm purchased Shine On Anna for $33,000 from Yarraman Park Stud draft at the 2018 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale before selling her for just $6,000 on Inglis Digital two years later.
Shine On Anna has a yearling colt by Toronado (IRE) and was not covered last spring.
A daughter of the stakes-placed Machiavellian mare Shine On Me, Shine On Anna has a 2yo colt by Cliff’s Edge, which was a $210,000 purchase for Maddie Raymond/John Foote Bloodstock (FBAA)/Mailbag Bloodstock from the Longwood Thoroughbreds draft at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
See You In Heaven comes from the second crop of Divine Prophet, who stands his first season at Highview Stud in New Zealand.
The brother to reigning champion NZ stallion Proisir stands for $13,500 (+GST).
